Wig Colors

Color Chart for The Irish-Dancer Wigs and Hairpieces

Please be sure to check our colors - these are actual photos of the colors we carry and do not necessarily match other vendors or manufacturers.  Choosing a wig color can be tricky, especially when your only guideline is a color chart viewed on your computer monitor.  If you have bought wigs before you may already know the exact color you want.  But if you're choosing a color for the first time, please remember that color charts can never be 100% accurate and computer monitors vary.

We recommend that you buy a Color Ring to help you choose the best color. A color ring consists of individual swatches of fibers in various colors.  Each manufacturer uses its own color system, so be sure to choose the color ring for the brand you're interested in if there is a choice of rings.  When you're done with the color ring you may return it for a refund.  Another option is to send us a small hair or current wig sample and ask us to find the closest available color match.

Asking us to choose a color for you by email or phone is difficult.  We can make suggestions, but we cannot guarantee that our suggestions will work for you. Any time you order a color without first seeing it on a wig or color ring, you are taking a risk.  Please make sure that the color you order is the color you want!

**Not all colors are available in every wig or hairpiece.  Please check the style you are interested to see if a particular color is listed.

Also, make sure you are matching hair color at the front of the face rather than at the ends.  If you are unsure of your choice between two colors, usually the better choice is the lighter shade.

Wig Color Codes
Most wigs colors will have a color code assigned to them.  If the code contains certain letters, it represents how the colors are mixed.

H = Highlighted
The H colors are around 75% of the first color and smaller streaks of 25% of the secondary color.

T = Tipped
In a tipped wig, the two colors are blended together at the base (roots) of the wig, and the 2nd color is the color at the tips (ends) of the wig.

Color# / Color #  = Blended
 Blended wigs generally have 50% of the first color and 50% of the second color mixed.
